The role:

We are searching for an ambitious and commercially minded Program Manager to lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team of Project Managers, Site Supervisors & System Engineers in the design, commission, installation and delivery of innovative telecommunication solutions to empower healthcare providers to enhance patient outcomes, and improve performance, efficiency and reliability in critical environments.

Reporting to the Operations Manager – VIC, TAS &SA, you would be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of (20+) commercial capex projects (ranging between $100K – $10 million and a 2 – 36-month timeline), analysing project and commercial performance, and identifying, developing and implementing continuous improvement opportunities.

The program of works and projects solely consists of external commercial capex projects, for our customers within the healthcare sector, across greenfield and retro fit construction building sites, including live environments.

How would you contribute to our success?

  • Strategic Leadership: Support a high-performing team to successfully deliver large-scale telecommunications projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and client needs.
  • Project Delivery: Oversee the end-to-end design, commissioning, and installation of telecommunications systems in healthcare environments, ensuring timely, quality and cost-effective delivery.
  • Commercial Focus: Oversee project budgets, resources, and timelines, identifying opportunities to maximize efficiency and profitability.
  • Performance Management: Implement metrics to track and evaluate team and project performance, driving a culture of accountability and success.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance project delivery, quality, and client satisfaction.
  • Client Engagement: Act as an escalation point and key contact for clients, fostering strong relationships and ensuring their expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Risk and Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.
  • Innovation and Growth: Stay ahead of market trends and emerging technologies to position Rauland as a leader in the healthcare telecommunications sector.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively partner with other Program Managers across different states, to share success and challenges to replicate benefits and drive business performance.

What will make your application stand out?

  • Proven Experience: Overseeing or managing a program of external projects (on the vendor side for external customers) rather than an internal program of works. Preferably comprising of hardware and software design, installation and configuration within construction, telecommunications or healthcare environments.
  • Leadership Excellence: A track record of leading diverse teams to deliver complex, high-value projects.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial performance, resource management, and operational efficiency.
  • Technical Expertise: Knowledge of telecommunications systems design, commissioning, and installation processes (Electrical or cabling knowledge or application an extra tick)
  • Client-Centric Approach: Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical & Critical Thinking: Ability to assess project performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement actionable intermediary and permanent enhanced solutions.
  • Project Management Mastery: Proficiency in methodologies like PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile is advantageous.
  • Innovative Mindset: A passion for driving change and embracing new technologies to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Qualifications & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Telecommunications, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related discipline is preferred. And a willingness and ability to drive and travel throughout Australia as and when required.
