Rauland Australia engaged for The George Centre – state-of-the-art paediatric and maternity private health facility

Rauland Australia Pty Ltd has been engaged to deliver and install the Rauland Responder Nurse Call and Master Clocks and associated clinical workflow, design, delivery, and installation services for The George Centre, Acurio Health’s new $100m state-of-the-art paediatric and maternity private health facility.

The George Centre is being constructed in Gregory Hills and upon opening in mid-2023, will be dedicated to the well-being and healthcare of families in southwest Sydney, as one of the largest private hospitals in Sydney and the only private paediatric facility in NSW.

Dr Robert Lin, Chief Strategy Officer, Acurio Health and Project Lead for The George Centre said:

“We aim to transform lives by redefining paediatric, maternity and surgical care for Sydney’s southwestern community. Providing the best patient experience is the key focus of The George Centre – it will offer a truly patient-centric approach.

It is fitting we partner with Rauland Australia, the leading provider of nurse call and clinical workflow systems. Together we will deliver an innovative, patient-centric technology communication platform to assist nursing and clinical teams in the provision of care.”

The George Centre building is based on ‘Evidence-Based Design’, which encompasses design principles that improve patient, visitor and staff well-being. With this in mind, features include abundant natural light, outdoor gardens and play areas for younger patients, all of which can promote healing and speed up recovery times. The maternity ward will create a home-away-from-home feel for patients as well as their partners and family.

The George Centre will also include a special care nursery for extra support after birth, state-of-the-art operating theatres, specialist maternity delivery suites, medical consulting suites, radiology, pathology, endoscopy and other allied health services.

Cameron Burt, Chief Executive Officer, Rauland Australia commented: “We’re thrilled to partner with Acurio Health and Buildcorp on The George Centre. Our organisations share a passion and commitment to innovation and we’re looking forward to working with the Acurio team to deliver great clinical outcomes and an excellent patient experience at The George Centre.”

Rauland’s Concentric Care enterprise platform provides healthcare facilities with the value of a complete, end-to-end communication and technology experience. Scalable enterprise architecture brings organisations, departments, buildings, and units together, in a single technology solution, adaptive to the size and specialisation of the specific care environment.

Work has commenced on The George Centre project and the facility is on-track for completion and delivery to the southwestern Sydney community in mid-2023.
